FJORD BAREFOOT+ O1 are lightweight and breathable low-cut shoes with a spacious barefoot toe box, which gives toes plenty of room and allows more natural foot movement. However, unlike classic barefoot shoes, they feature a higher PLUSOR sole, which better cushions contact with hard or uneven surfaces. They are therefore also suitable for customers who want the benefits of wider barefoot footwear, but at the same time require greater comfort and protection when walking.

The upper is made from breathable MESH textile complemented by TPU elements. Thanks to the airy design, the shoes are particularly suitable for warmer weather and active movement during the day. The lightweight construction contributes to comfort during extended wear.

An important part of the shoes is the PLUSOR sole made from a combination of EVA and rubber, which was designed for the BAREFOOT+ range. The wider base contributes to stability when walking and the higher profile helps cushion surface irregularities. The sole is also anti-slip, which increases confidence of step on various types of surfaces. All-day comfort is also provided by the ABSORBA FLATBED insole, which supports the natural position of the foot.

Thanks to the combination of lightweight construction, breathable upper and more comfortable barefoot concept, the low-cut shoes are suitable for regular everyday wear, walks, trips, moving around the city and leisure activities in nature.

What does BAREFOOT+ mean?

BAREFOOT+ maintains wide space in the front part of the shoe so that toes are not unnecessarily compressed. At the same time, it uses a higher sole that provides greater cushioning than classic barefoot shoes. The minimal difference in height between heel and toe supports a more natural foot position.

This construction is particularly suitable for people with wider feet or for those who want more space for their toes, but at the same time prefer a softer footfall and don't want to significantly feel every terrain irregularity when walking.
